Catechism is a summary of doctrine and instruction, teaching the Orthodox faith in the form of questions and
answers. The catechetical or Sunday school of each parish is responsible for such instruction of children or
other faithful.
St. John’s has enjoyed a very organized Catechetical School Program for many years, continuously expanding and improving the program to effectively reach out to our youth of all ages.
We maintain a great core group of energized teachers at St. John’s, including our director who has been dedicated for
nearly 30 years.
Classrooms are divided into kindergarten/first grade students, 2nd/3rd grade students, and middle school grades, 6th-7th-8th.
St. John's also has a scholarship program and a variety of activities and programs for the youth. In addition,
the Sunday School performs a delightful Christmas program each year!
