LENTEN RITUALS

During the Lenten season, after Wednesday night services, parishioners gather in the Church Hall for a pot luck dinner and informal talk.

Thursday prior to Palm Sunday - Parishioners gather to make the crosses out of palms given to the Faithful following Palm Sunday services.

Palm Sunday Dinner - Every year it is customary for members of the Orthodox community to join together for a special fish dinner. The "Plaki" is the way the fish is prepared.

Thursday, Holy Week - At this date is when the coloring of the eggs in red dye is done that are given to the parishioners after Saturday night services.

Good Friday - After morning services, the Kouvouklion, also referred to as the Epitophio (Christ's Tomb), is decorated.

We encourage and welcome the continued participation of all parishioners.
